Various towns and villages are spread across the Bodrum Peninsula each with its own unique atmosphere for different pleasures.
Every town and almost every village offer a vast number of sightseeing opportunities, accommodation options, local and international food choices, bars, beach clubs, cafes, indoor and outdoor activities, art galleries and shopping alternatives to the visitors.
The largest towns of the peninsula are Bodrum, Turgutreis and Yalikavak in terms of population. There are many more interesting and beautiful places like Gumbet, Bitez, Ortakent, Gumusluk, Gundogan, Torba and Golturkbuku.
While you discover each spot, you will find something special for yourself. Good food, beautiful scenery, sandy beaches, a romantic escape, all night long parties or a part of a story from the history; they are all somewhere over there, waiting for you depending on what you are looking for.
I think it is quite difficult to provide detailed information on each location even if you are a full-time professional. I am an amateur with limited time. So I thought the best strategy for me to cover them all is probably to relax and take it slowly.
I will keep my focus on Bodrum specific information on the other pages. Meanwhile, I promise I will do my best to provide fresh information on your each visit to this section of TheBestOfBodrum.com.
So let me start with a list of towns and villages in the Bodrum Peninsula. As I add new content for the destinations that I’ve listed, you will see an arrow next to them taking you to the relevant content.
To fully understand the locations of these towns and villages, a map would certainly help you so I prepared one for you. I have been and will be updating this map as I travel, see and learn more about Bodrum and its surroundings. So please do not forget to check an updated map as necessary. You can download it on my Bodrum Map page.
Similarly, if you need to know how to travel between these destinations, you can check TheBestOfBodrum.com’s Getting Around page. Some of the distances between are also provided on The Distances article.
It would be great if these additional information would have a good use in planning your Bodrum trip. Please let me know if you need some more that I missed to cover.
